October 30th.
A fairly busy day, but it seemed much less frantic. We went to the Yardenit baptismal site on the River Jordan (where people could renew their Baptismal vows), then on to the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place. We went further round Galilee, where Jesus appeared to his Apostles after the resurrection and to the Church of the Feeding of the 5,000. We had a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee, which is 200 metres below sea level and finally onto Capernaum, to see Peter's house and the synagogue where Jesus went to pray.

This is the step into the Synagogue. It seemed to me that Jesus might have stepped on that very stone.
